solved [TC 11.00b3] "Finish copying the current file" doesn't always work
Inspired by this report viewtopic.php?t=79080 about USB cable connection I tried using the "Finish copying the current file" feature when copying directories to and from other sources.
WIth an FTP connection "Finish copying the current file" works correctly when copying from local drive to FTP-server, but when copying from FTP to local drive the full copy of all remaining files is performed (as with USB cable connection).
With a connection via the Secure FTP plugin "Finish copying the current file" works correctly copying both ways.
With a connection to a Network share "Finish copying the current file" works correctly copying from the Network share to local drive. When copying from the local drive to the network all I get if I cancel an ongoing copy process is what's looks like an error message (small with white background) saying: "User abort, OK, Cancel".
Copying to and from local drive to Cloud plugin (Google, OneDrive, Box, Dropbox) works correctly an so do to/from the MediaAudio2 plugin connected to my phone.

Re: [TC 11.00b3] "Finish copying the current file" doesn't always work
Confirmed.from FTP to local drive
I cannot reproduce that. Network shares are handled like normal local drives. Maybe you used the Explorer copy method? With a connection to a Network share "Finish copying the current file" works correctly copying from the Network share to local drive. When copying from the local drive to the network all I get if I cancel an ongoing copy process is what's looks like an error message (small with white background) saying: "User abort, OK, Cancel".

No, I am using the "Also use big file copy mode (not using cache)" (10240, 64).Maybe you used the Explorer copy method?
If I change to "Use standard copy method (recommended)" I get the normal cancel dialog.
Also note - with "Also use big file copy mode (not using cache)". I only get the "error message" type dilaog when I copy a folder, not when I copying files.

Confirmed fixed in TC 11.00b4history.txt wrote:22.05.23 Fixed: PORT connection to other PC (e.g. via USB cable), uploads and downloads: "Finish copying the current file" only worked for files in the current directory, a folder was always copied to the end too (32/64)
22.05.23 Fixed: FTP connection to other PC, uploads only: "Finish copying the current file" only worked for files in the current directory, a folder was always copied to the end too (32/64)

I guess this is the fix for:history.txt wrote:23.05.23 Fixed: When aborting copying while the operation was between two files, show same dialog style as when showing "Finish copying the current file", but without that option (32/64)
I can confirm that it is fixed, but I actually now also DO get the option "Finish copying the current file" - also with the copy method set to "Also use big file copy mode (not using cache)"petermad wrote:When copying from the local drive to the network all I get if I cancel an ongoing copy process is what's looks like an error message (small with white background) saying: "User abort, OK, Cancel".

Re: solved [TC 11.00b3] "Finish copying the current file" doesn't always work
It depends on whether you press Abort while in the middle of a file, or between two files. In the second case, you get that dialog with only OK, Cancel. I changed the first button of that dialog to "OK (Stop)" too now, like in the first case.I can confirm that it is fixed, but I actually now also DO get the option "Finish copying the current file"

Re: solved [TC 11.00b3] "Finish copying the current file" doesn't always work
Not really, just copy a lot of small files and press ESC until you get the right dialog (ESC both triggers the abort function and returns ti copying).
