Internal Viewer: how to show by default the image zoomed ?

Post by *alexd »

Hi,
would it be possible that in case of images the Internal Viewer would show by default the full image (zoomed in or out accordingly) instead of the upper-left corner only.

I understand the viewer shows the actual image without any zoom, but now the images are generally large and this results in always showing a very small part of the upper-left corner, which I believe nobody is interested to see and all users are manually zooming out or in accordingly when this should be the default behaviour.

Thanks

Try "Options" -> "Fit only larger images to window" - does that do what you wish for?

Or perhaps rather Fit image to window.

I prefer "Fit only larger images to window" because small pictures like icons looks too pixelated when fit to window.

petermad,
So do I, but the original request was to
show by default the full image (zoomed in or out accordingly)
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I based my answer on:
images are generally large and this results in always showing a very small part of the upper-left corner, which I believe nobody is interested to see

Found it ...not in TC > Options but in Viewer's options.
...I actually wanted it for Quick View (Ctrl+Q) in Total Commander and there I cannot access the options but .... luckily the shortcuts work ... so Ctrl+Q, then L solved my problem. Thank you for the tip.

p.s. I still think this should be the default

Quick view Ctrl+Q is just an embedded Lister window, so the same hotkeys work there as in Lister itself. You can see the hotkeys in the Lister main menu as a separate column.
