The "C:\totalcmd\TASTEN.TXT" file has been updated.
E: Is the "KEYBOARD.TXT" file always updated with the final version TC 11.00 first?
D: Wird die Datei "KEYBOARD.TXT" erst immer mit der finalen Version TC 11.00 upgedated?
I don't use the installer, but copy from the INSTALL.CAB manually - but is it when you use the installer that KEYBOARD.TXT wasn't updated? Could you perhaps have had KEYBOARD.TXT open in aanother program, when updating TC, preventing the file from being written?

TC 11.51 32+64bit on Win XP 32bit & Win 7, 8.1 & 10 (22H2) 64bit, 'Everything' 1.5.0.1391a
TC 3.60b4 on Android 6, 13, 14 TC Extended Menus | TC Languagebar | TC Dark Help | PHSM-Calendar
Download the 32+64-bit version - example:
C:\totalcmd\Migration\TCD-Programmversionen\TC-11\11.00RC2\tc1100x32_64_rc2.exe
type in: . 'point' on the TC command line and press ENTER
Quit TC
Double-click on the "tc1100x32_64_rc2.exe" file in Windows Explorer and install (update) to C:\totalcmd
(is suggested automatically).
After that I start TC to check if the installation in C:\totalcmd was successful, eg Total Commander (x64) 11.00RC2
After that I start with the adjustments including: C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\_tc\INSTALL.CAB\
- %COMMANDER_PATH%\*.inc
- %COMMANDER_PATH%\LANGUAGE\*.mnu, *.chm

I can confirm that the date of the keyboard.txt file didn't change after installing as an update. I will check it.
I always use the installer with update,
and the date/time of the keyboard.txt was changed to the same as the other updated files.
Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.3915) TC 11.55 RC1 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1391a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.5.2.0, Listary Pro 6.3.2.88
QAP 11.6.4.2.1 x64
the date/time of the keyboard.txt was changed to the same as the other updated files.
Did you also install the combined 32bit+64bit version of TC as Tuska did?
I always use the combined version installer and let it update.
In my case, I use Free Commander to execute the downloaded setup, while TC is not running.

Just in case you're not aware, closing not required as the TC installer will ask if you want to close TC, do so, and then proceed with the installation. Hasn't failed to work for me.

I have been doing it the same for many years. Simply [Enter] on the 32_64-Installer.exe in the panel and everything runs quickly and perfectly. All betas, rcs, releases. Simply one over the other.
