- Strange, odd, weird : that works fine here under Win 98 SE (Fr), as well from Ctrl+I as from the menu entry…

Hello again !

- I tested under XP-Pro SP1 (original, Fr.) with my 2-CPU machine , it's worse : Imagine doesn't work at all, either as stand-alone or as plugin…
1. As standalone, nothing happens, the program doesn't start, not any error-message.
2. As plugin, an error-message : “Imagine.DLL was not found”

- Indeed, all is OK about the paths etc., and the DLL is alright where it must be!
- This situation exists here for some previous ß versions too, so I resigned Imagine in that machine for a while… It's the reason for which I didn't test under XP first. (Sigh…)

- Maybe “someone else” could simply place a link to this thread in the Imagine-forum, but I willn't do, it should be

As plugin, an error-message : “Imagine.DLL was not found”

That happened for me back when I installed beta 10 over the stable version (8.0.4.0)

Make sure that the files in the "plugin" subdirectory to the imagine directory contains ONLY these files:

ANM.DLL
DDS.DLL
J2K.DLL
JBIG.DLL
XCF.DLL
XNM.DLL

and make sure that they have the same date as the Imagine.DLL file.

Maybe that can help

Peter, I changed ALL in the Imagine sub-dir, from the last release ß 11 files! I even deleted the old folders (for plugins etc.) to be sure I get the right files ! I can't do anything more…

Just an idea: Have you tried deleting the Imagine.wlx lines in the [ListerPlugins] section in wincmd.ini
