Quickview (Preview) of .stl doesn't work in TC but Explorer is ok

Hello,

I'm struggeling with the preview of .stl files, not thumbnails. Several 3D formats work perfect in TC as thumbnail and also in quickview except stl.
In Windows Explorer stl-files are shown in the preview pane with a greater image like the thumbnail.


My working condition:
Windows 10 Pro 22H2
TC 10.52 (TC 11 RC same behavior)

Powertoys explorer addon for stl enabled

Any help is welcome.

Probably you will need a plugin to let TC show such files.

MS PowerToys contains a Thumbnail Icon Preview for .stl files.
Works fine here in TC, Everything and Windows Explorer.

Have you tried in Lister's menu to choose "Options" -> "Explorer Preview" (or just press 8 ) ?

2Stefan2: yes, I new this plugin, but it's 32bit and lock most time the file

petermad: yes, I tried it, but it's the same problem

In the mean time I tested it on a different pc and it works, so it must be a special problem in my Windows not TC. I checked the registry for stl related entries without success.
Maybe Christian can gave me hint where to look for my only STL specific preview/quickview problem.
