By the way: why does it take so long to create a Lnk on the current machine for a file on a mapped drive from a windows Pc within the local network? It's not a bug (only a additional question within this thread: Create Shortcut + G modifier fail ) but it's very strange. It's faster with a file from a samba share.

Sorry, I don't know, I just call some Windows functions to create the lnk file, I don't create it by myself. Probably because Windows tries to get the lnk icon from the target.

Maybe yes. It's not that important. More of an informative question. Also with regard to whether this is the case with others and whether this is normal? It's completely Tc independent, I didn't mention that.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2023-08-22, 07:19 UTC Sorry, I don't know, I just call some Windows functions to create the lnk file, I don't create it by myself.
