[11.02RC4] Colour assignment only works partially
German Umlauts (ä,ö,ü,Ä,Ö,Ü) and special character: ß
Custom Column Views
Blanks are displayed instead of umlauts and special character:
U+0020
Westeuropäisch (Windows): 0x20
SPACE
Unicode Script: Zyyy (Common)
Unicode General Category: Zs (Space Separator)
The German umlauts have been removed from saved search titles, e.g.
>Ge ndert-innerhalb-der-letzten-10-Minuten
>Pfadl nge_gr er-259-Zeichen
>Verschl sselt_encrypted
For the custom column views I have started to insert the missing umlauts MANUALLY(!).
Furthermore, it is necessary to MANUALLY clean up the templates under "Change Attributes..." with regard to umlauts.

Re: [11.02RC4] German Umlauts (ä,ö,ü,Ä,Ö,Ü) and special character 'ß'
In the file wincmd.ini I had added comments over the years with a ';' semicolon at the beginning of the line.
In these comments, the German umlauts are also no longer present in TC 11.02RC4.
Instead, there are only blank spaces.
Remark:
I had saved the wincmd.ini file in UTF-8 format for years (and had no problems with it!)
and only changed it to the ANSI format after various errors became known.
I would certainly have noticed the lack of German umlauts in the comments at some point in earlier years...
I have checked that!
For this reason, I am filing this incident as an addition to the present post.

You damaged the file when saving it - notepad probably saved it as UTF-8, which isn't supported in ini files.
When editing an ini file, make sure to always save it as ANSI or UTF-16.

Re: [11.02RC4] German Umlauts (ä,ö,ü,Ä,Ö,Ü) and special character 'ß'
I have now noticed the following:
My wincmd.ini from 7.10.2023 (backup) had coding "ANSI".
These files also had the coding "ANSI" at that time:
wincmd_Rename.ini
wincmd_Searches.ini
wincmd_Searches_Templates.ini
It is inexplicable to me how the file "wincmd.ini" was recoded to "UTF-8".
With the other three files, I can no longer determine the encoding at the time of the bug report,
because I have encoded all .ini files to "ANSI".
However, this caused the errors with the German umlauts, file attributes and missing plugins.
Conclusion:
After using the backup file "wincmd.ini" from 7.10.2023 everything works fine again.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
