Hi everyone,
I am a long date huge fan of TC and I use it daily for file processing. I am really happy with it.
I was just wondering if there was a change to the copy and rename/move behaviour, because when a ".." is entered instead of the path in these dialog boxes, the software now renames the selected files as ".." instead of doing the needed command in the upper directory.
Is there any option to switch to the original way of formulating the copies/moves one directory upward?
Thanks a lot and cheers!

I don't understand the question. For me TC 11.02 behaves exactly like older versions when ".." is entered as the target directory. Files are either copied (F5) or moved one level up (F6).
Which copy method is set in TC's Options > Copy/Delete?

Hi Dalai,
Thanks for your swift reply. Meanwhile, I have noticed this just happened with the numlock point, and not with the one of the main keyboard... I did not change anything to the default options of TC regarding the copy/delete item:

Apparently, this has been solved with a fresh restart... Sorry for the useless thread.

Are you sure the characters input by the numpad point are really decimal points and no commas? It's easy to accidentally switch the keyboard input layout in any program by pressing Alt+Shift which could also switch the numpad decimal point to a comma (depending on the installed keyboard layouts).

Try entering the numpad point in notepad and save it, then view it in Lister (F3) and switch to hex mode. Then most the code(s) here.
It's possible that you get a comma instead of a dot. It depends on the language, e.g. Polish, Russian and a few other languages and keyboard layouts use a comma as decimal separator, so the numpad also returns a comma. See for example

Did you mean to say "post" instead of "most"?
Re: TC11.02 Copy to ..
According to Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_separator there are 81 countries using comma as decimal separator and 59 using dot. This of course does not say anything about how many keyboard layuots that uses comma - I guess not all countries/languages have their own keyboard layout - it seems that most European countries use comma as decimal separator. It depends on the language, e.g. Polish, Russian and a few other languages
