NFO lister plugin for TC x64?
I wonder if there's a working plugin available for TC x64? There are 2 known lister plugins to view NFO files: NFO View and NFOViewer but both have only 32 bit versions.

Internal lister can perfectly render .nfo files without any third-party plugins.

Honestly I've never understood the need for such plugins. If a file isn't rendered with all the ASCII art in it, I switch Lister to ASCII view by pressing the S key. Is there something else the ASCII view can't do but the plugins can? Am I missing something?

Because these are already available so usage is straightforward and the plugin's major convenience in having the required charset, encoding and maybe other features like font and background/text colors for these specific files without any additional keypresses or mouse actions.Dalai wrote: 2024-02-28, 21:58 UTC Honestly I've never understood the need for such plugins. Is there a way to force internal Lister to a specific charset for some file extensions (eg: .NFO or .DIZ)?beb wrote: 2024-02-28, 21:21 UTC Internal lister can perfectly render .nfo files without any third-party plugins.

Currently only when starting Lister externally via totalcmd.exe /S=L filename. Here you can choose to open the file as ASCII by changing the parameter to /S=L:S. See section 4a of the help, command line parameters. Is there a way to force internal Lister to a specific charset for some file extensions (eg: .NFO or .DIZ)?

I like NFOPad very much.
https://truehumandesign.se/s_nfopad.php
It's not a plugin, but integrates 'nfo' and 'diz' files easily using TC's 'Internal associations'
Feels like a hybrid between a 'lighthearted' viewer and a small editor, ..and you can also double-click internet links

Yes, I've used this one, and associated as External Viewer (Alt-F3) with .nfo .diz .1st .me files.HerbieH wrote: 2024-03-02, 06:39 UTC I like NFOPad very much.
