Cannot add Plugin Anytag

Post by *CBviert »

I'm trying to add the Content plugin AnyTag.
I followed the description;
1. download Download wdx_anytag_v100.zip from https://www.mp3tag.de/en/tc.html
2. double click on downloaded zip file: wdx_anytag_v100.zip from within TC
3. I followed the description to add
Image: https://ufile.io/jygra22j
Image: https://ufile.io/e8pw3hkx
which results in (Not enough memory!)
Image: https://ufile.io/dk8pgx5e

As a result I see an empty folder: c:\totalcmd\Plugins\wdx_anytag\

What am I doing wrong?

There are several causes possible:
e.g.
1. There is really no space left on drive C
2. Your antivirus temporarily inhibits to write the file
3. The ZIP file is corrupt (my md5 checksum is f3f5e7256135bf1fc6002ab060676b1c)

Can you verify the integrity of the downloaded ZIP file via Alt+Shift+F9?

Thanks for the quick reply!
There is really no space left on drive C
no there is enough space
Your antivirus temporarily inhibits to write the file
antivirus makes no problem, with and without av same behavior
The ZIP file is corrupt (my md5 checksum is f3f5e7256135bf1fc6002ab060676b1c)
my checksum: f3f5e7256135bf1fc6002ab060676b1c

any other suggestions ???

Make sure you are using TC's internal unzip: "Configuration" -> "Zip packer" -> "ZIP" -> "Always use internal unzipping (if possible)".

BTW, I just downloaded https://download.mp3tag.de/wdx_anytag_v100.zip and installed it with no problems.

I may not have understood the plugin anytag fully. Using this plugin I expected a similar behavior as for the exif plugin. Within this (exif) plugin I can select the columns via Configure this custom columns view...

I have now come one step further. The following can be seen in the window: Content plugins:
Image: https://ufile.io/exwaxzg8

However, when I try to define special columns for the anytag plugin, I only see the option to do this for the Exif plugin.

What's going wrong?

You need to define and configure the custom columns view. To do that click on "Configure this custom columns view" or "Configure custom columns". The former opens the configuration for the active custom columns view while the latter opens the custom columns configuration in general. There you can create, copy and otherwise configure custom columns.

Yes I know. However, in "Configure custom columns" (or "Configure this custom columns view") I do not see the anytag plugin as it can be seen in https://ufile.io/kf6ml8s7

In this dialogue (at the bottom) you see only the plugins that you have already configured. In your case it is only the Exif plugin. Proceed by selecting "Configure custom columns" and see if the plugin is listed there.

No, it's the name of the custom columns view, not the plugin!
Proceed by selecting "Configure custom columns" and see if the plugin is listed there.
Once a content plugin is installed it will be available there to be used in whatever way the user wants.

The plugin is correctly installed now:

As I said, the plugin will appear in the custom columns configuration window; it just needs to be opened...

Fine! Just out of interest: what has happened to your "Not enough memory"-problem?
