Problem replacing NTFS_diz for writing ADS stream

Post by *Horst.Epp »

The NTFS_diz plugin has problems with Non-ASCII file names and stream contents
while used with the TC OPENATTRIBUTES function.

I wrote an AHK script to add ADS streams, which does not have such limitations.

It works fine, but TC has a problem to color the files according to their Stream content
directly after the stream has been added or deleted to a file.
Even a Ctrl-R to re-read the source doesn't help.
It only colors the file names after newly entering the folder which contain such files.

Note, that the file name and date is not changed by adding an ADS stream.

The coloring is done using the NTFS_diz plugin, as it has no problems in this mode.
Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.3915)
TC 11.51 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1391a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.5.2.0, Listary Pro 6.3.2.88
QAP 11.6.4.2.1 x64

All problems are solved, only the refresh is left as a small problem.
I use my AHK script to set the Tags and Sysinternals Streams64 to delete the streams.

Nice to hear that it works for you. :)
