broken hdd - ignore unreadable files

Post by *robertmo »

would it be possible to only quickly copy the readable pictures and completely ignore the unreadable pictures?
when i copy with total commander it often tries to read unreadable files wasting lots of time on every single file he cannot read
i don't care about them, don't want them, just want to copy what is possible quickly.
can i somehow force windows to limit the time it spends trying to read each file to zero and move on to the next one?

There is a plugin for this, but unfortunately only 32-bit. If you use Total Commander 64-bit, just install the combined 32+64-bit version as an update, then run totalcmd.exe instead of totalcmd64.exe and install this plugin:

You can try a fastcopy integration using nonstop option.
