I have a portable version of 10.52 (made with tc2usb tool). How can I upgrade this version? Do I just select TC folder or should I make a clean install somewhere, copy wincmd.ini, wincmd.key, wcx_ftp.ini (anything else?) to this new installation and run the tc2usb.exe again?
Thanks.

Re: How to upgrade portable version?
You can press Ctrl+PgUp on the installer (tc1150x64_b2.exe for example) to open it as an archive - then open the INSTALL.CAB archive the same way and copy the files to your current TC program folder.

Re: How to upgrade portable version?
As @petermad wrote, you just need exit TC and copy files outside it for overwriting.
Re: How to upgrade portable version?
I usually just use the 32bit version to update the 64bit version and vice versa.and copy files outside it for overwriting.

Re: How to upgrade portable version?
Use the installer with command line options "/SRI0" and choose Update.
Code: Select all
Update portable installation.
Create a backup first, just to make sure.
Execute line below (replace tc1150x32_64_b2.exe with your installer).
tc1150x32_64_b2.exe /SRI0
(The last character is a zero, not the letter O)
Choose "Replace installed version (Update)".
(Or choose "Install normally" and disable the creation of shortcuts later on.)
