Hi all,
On my PCs TC hangs completely (needs Ctrl Alt Del to quit) just when I want to delete files on system disks ?!
No error message.
I am under WIN 11 or Win 10 (and I may also have an old Win 7 partition on Win 10).
I have investigated as much as I can and found at least one thing which sometimes helps : to end task of all comsurrogate.com entries.
But even when I end task of those and restart TC it often still hangs.
Also in TC if I right click and ask for deletion it says needs admin rights but still does not work.
On the contrary Explorer deletes quickly sometimes just asking for admin rights ...
Help me understand and sole please !
Most of the time hanging when asked to delete !!???

The problem you have is most probably a faulty Explorer extension.
To correct it, please try the following:
1. Get the free tool ShellExView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
2. Start it. If using Total Commander 32-bit on 64-bit Windows, you need to choose menu Options - Show 32-bit shell extensions.
3. Sort the shell extensions by type
4. Disable all context menu shell extensions one by one (you can hide/keep those belonging to Windows, they are usually OK).
5. Continue until Total Commander stops crashing
6. Now you can re-enable the extensions which don't cause any problems
