I use this command line parameters for updating:

Code: Select all

tc*.exe /I0".\"RSHG0D0 %COMMANDER_PATH%
And every time it add to my wincmd.ini line:

Code: Select all

[Configuration]
InstallDir=<path>
WHY? :evil:
OS: Win10 | TC: latest x64

This is not a bug. InstallDir is a hint for the installer where to look for an existing Total Commander installation, so it can offer "Update" in addition to "Normal install".

You can override a user-unfriendly installer's behavior like this in a way similar to my approach as I had described here:
