Our company is undergoing an overhaul of our project file management system. Historically, our default directories had a standardized prefix (numerical code) followed by a short human readable name.
As part of the overhaul, we're supposed to remove the readable part from these directory names, so that only the numerical code is left. The former naming convention will be implemented as folder display names via desktop.ini files as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/embedded/ms906608(v=msdn.10)?redirectedfrom=MSDN
This solution works with Windows Explorer, which automatically displays the folder display names, but TC show the directory names by default. Is there a way to make TC show folder display names?

Possible with custom columns or tooltips from ShellDetails content plugin - https://totalcmd.net/plugring/shelldetails.html
Use first field - "Name".

A strange management decision.
If files are copied on cloud storage or saved on some backup systems
you lose any useful name.
