The "Feed to listbox" button is inactive if the results are displayed when opening the "Find Files" dialog

The "Feed to listbox" button is inactive if the results are displayed when opening the "Find Files" dialog
1. Alt+F7
2. Enter
3. Click [New search]
4. Esc
5. Alt+F7
There are results, but the "Feed to listbox" button is not available.
I don't know if this was intended, but there is no such problem with the "Go to file" button.

Please describe in detail how to reproduce the problem. I tried this
1. Made a search
2. Clicked on "Go to file"
3. Re-opened the search window
-> Both the "Go to file" and "Feed to listbox" buttons are enabled.

Not confirmed. I tested both TC 11.50 RC2 32-bit and 64-bit in normal and dark mode. Did the same as Ghisler, and I also tested if the issue occurs if the Find Files window is closed by ESC.

Clarified (see para. 3).

Now I can confirm the issue. It dates back to TC 9.50 (version 9.22a doesn't have this behavior). It looks like TC doesn't properly clear the search results. It removes the results while the dialog is open but they reappear when the Find Files window is reopened.

Re: The "Feed to listbox" button is inactive if the results are displayed when opening the "Find Files" dialog
Since the new search has not been performed, it loses relevance, so it's logical to leave the latest results.

Yes, but why is the "Feed to listbox" button disabled - that is the bug.so it's logical to leave the latest results.

Otherwise, I wouldn't have created this thread.

Confirmed, the list doesn't get cleared, just hidden, but the buttons get disabled.

Initially the list does get hidden when clicking the "New search" button. Upon reopening the Find Files window, the list will be shown again.

That is, on 9.22a, the list was cleared when hiding? I wouldn't do that before doing the search.

I was just referring to what happens in your steps 3 through 5 (starting in TC 9.50).

Re: The "Feed to listbox" button is inactive if the results are displayed when opening the "Find Files" dialog
I touched upon the moment of hiding. It's obvious that the buttons cannot be displayed in any state if the list is hidden, since they are composite in the part of the dialog that appears. Your clarification didn't change that, but I'm just making it clear that the author doesn't need to clear the list before searching. It's only necessary to make the buttons available.

Re: The "Feed to listbox" button is inactive if the results are displayed when opening the "Find Files" dialog
This is very(!) usefull feature.
Here it's often used, specially after big searches. Please do not remove this feature:
- mainly it is used for information purposes
- sometimes for "goto to file"
- and it would be very nice to have, if "fead to listbox" will be activ.
