The label "Install: Total Commander" in the installer is not scaled according to screen DPI. It is too small when running on a 200% or more scaled display.
I believe that this is a long-standing problem.

Re: Installer font size
The label uses its own custom font size, and doesn't use the default dialog font which is scaled automatically by Windows.
I'm not doing any manual scaling now in the installer, so I prefer not to do it now this late in the beta test because it might cause a lot of other problems.

Moving the issue to "will not be changed" may be convenient for tracking issues for the upcoming version. However, it leaves users uncertain. Will this be addressed later? Do we need to file the bug report again when the new version is released? Can you provide clarity to this user and others in similar situations?

Re: Installer font size
Where else would you put it? In suggestions? It's not really a suggestion either.
It's such a minor problem, the installer would work fine even without that title.

You could mark bugs with severity levels (e.g., minor, major, critical) so users know the priority. You could create a new category for bugs that won't be fixed immediately but are acknowledged. You could introduce a real bug tracking system. There are numerous ways to handle bug reports. How you do that is up to you, but regardless of how you do it, I think you should provide clarity to the user so the user knows what to expect and what is expected from them.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2024-12-19, 10:29 UTC Where else would you put it?
