[TC 11.51rc2 64-bit] Selection lost after closing search when a search was saved.

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[TC 11.51rc2 64-bit] Selection lost after closing search when a search was saved.

  • Select some files/folders
  • Start search (Alt+F7)
  • Go to the Load/Save tab and save the search
  • Close the search dialog
When using 64-bit TC, the selection is lost after this, but not when using 32-bit TC.

The lists are invalidated when you save a search because that search may be used for user-defined colors. This makes it necessary to-reread the file lists. I'm more surprised that the 32-bit version does not re-read the lists...

I'm sorry but I have to leave this unchanged. Changing the behaviour could cause a lot of new problems with search results.

Isn't that a bug then?

I could make it re-read the lists, but this may have other unwanted side effects like showing the search results and immediately re-reading the current directory afterwards. Such things have happened again and again in the past, I don't want to risk that for such a small problem, sorry.
