Dropped URLs into TC is not supprted

Post by *hummus »

Hi,

When I drag a web address (URL) using the leftmost icon from the URL into File Explorer - it saves the URL link into that folder.
When I do the same to TC it shows that it cannot support that.
Is there something that can be turned on to allow that?

Thanks.

Are you trying to drop the url in a virtual folder, or are you running TC as Administrator?

Dropping URLs into TC is definitely supported.
As white noted, when the drag-and-drop operations fail it mainly falls under the situation, when you are running TC as Administrator.
That is because Windows does not allow programs running at a lower integrity level (which, as a rule of thumb, all the browsers are) to send data to programs running at a higher integrity level.
So, at first, make sure your TC is not elevated.
However, since I use the TOR browser from time to time (which is basically Firefox), it would never allow such operations by default under any conditions.
So, apparently, there could be some additional Firefox-specific settings/conditions, e.g.:

@beb thank you! I can confirm that it did not work when I was running TC as admin, but it does work when running it as a standard user.
