A modest "Change INI…" small tool

Hello !

- My son Henri who is a TC-user too has written a small experimental tool for XnView, in order to experiment (!) with the addition by hand of extra INI-entries, that doesn't exist yet, and has been requested recently.
- It was very easy to adapt that tool to change the <wincmd.ini> file, so, I did. It's available to download HERE.
- I guess it's a bit handier than the usual Option menu entry in TC…
- If you give a try to the tool, please, read the document “Lire_ReadMe.txt” first !
- You may get the XnView package THERE.

Trying to start the program I get as first the error message:

The language dll 'VB6FR.DLL' could not be found.

When you have updated the package I'll try again.

There is a VB6DE.dll in my system, but even copying it to the program path does not help.

- He's very busy ! He says you "Hello!"

- Indeed, the tool uses the VB6FR.DLL, and it works fine under French systems (tested Win 98 SE & XP-Pro).
- Henri tells you that he'll fix that at night, changing the tool with an installer and the right DLL (to keep in the tool-sub-dir, I suppose…)

- Please, just be patient for some hours, and thank you for the test !

no, now after copying the file to sys32 he complains about richtx32.ocx missing (in french!) can you plz tell henry to include all used bibliotheks
plz? (thats the reason why I hate vb! delphi and c you compile it it runs everywhere - vb allways something missing )

Especially the common use of ActiveX components is something that should be avoided.

I uploaded a huge thing that contains all stuff used by the tool in the CAB :
- It should be nice to know which items are really indispensable, and which ones are not (not localized)…
- Then, I could just add the needed files in ZIP…
- The installer is not useful here, I guess, but the VB6 adds all the caboodle when you ask for make a setup version :

Hello Christian !

- Thank you for the tests.
- This is only a try, indeed this could be better in C+, but @ home I've not the whole programming C+ stuff… Only VB6-FR. The Henri's PC is elsewhere.
- I hope it'll be remade in another programming language a bit later…

Here the prg doesnt work even if I use the Installer
(btw it would be better to use a) english for the installer b) one thats let you choose if you want shortcuts like inno setup i.e....)
the error I get is:

- The VB6 programming stuff we have in French can't create an installer in English, sorry…
The error you get is "Access path could not be found"...
- Humm... I suppose you have to change the default paths in the Add-ini.ini file for your PC, and do not use
%COMMANDER_PATH%, it doesn't work, I tested here…
- Like I said above, a full rebuild in another programming language is to do...
