I've managed to create an inconsistency using a feature as it's supposed to be used, so it might actually be a bug. I've mapped em_F7 to something else (a "new folder" plugin). So now, the button says "F7 NewFolder (missing a space, by the way, and when I press F7 I get something different than when I click the button that says "F7", which creates an inconsistency.
I'll make a recommendation here, that either we can change the buttons freely, or that they execute whatever is bound to F1 to F8, and with a description field in the button text should become the command tooltip.
I'm open to other suggestions as well, but this is creating a usability inconsistency. And it's not like people haven't asked to customize those buttons before either, right?
