I can see that TC is clearly the best file manager … but I was wondering if anyone might know of a file preview plugin for post-1999 Wordperfect files. The current plugin uses freely available MS-Office conversion filters, but I can get them to interpret only the pre (?-1999) wp formats.
Lister can access the WP to MS conversion files through Office viewer plugign (or through IE viewer, with IE running with ActiveX turned on). I tried the Office plugin using files downloaded from the MS 2003 Office update ... [the update install does not register the cnv's or dll's, so I had to tweak the office plugin .ini to show full paths.] The Office plugin for Lister handles the M$ .doc files just fine!!! Wow!!! Just Great … http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=6657&highlight=wordperfect
I know that WP is a dying (if not dead) word processor (but I just love its reveal codes feature for file cleanup). I was just wondering if anyone knew it WP ever made a conversion filter which could be used in the Office plugin. Any help appreciated!

edited to clean out useless artifacts of pain (e.g. a pointless rant) which arose from my current state of mental exhaustion, and from a re-opening of wounds from long ago, when the oligarchy set out to isolate and destroy Wordperfect and its community, because WP was (and still is) a better program than MS. But that was long ago now, that I should really just let it go. Sorry, and please accept my apologies.

Sorry, but I cannot understand your complaint. So, I'm so frustrated! Does TC force me to M$? I want to use TC, where I can search, but then I can't do F3-view, and QVP is useless as a file manager, because then I can view, but I can't search! Arghhhh!
You may use your Wordperfect to view and search your files. And if you don't want to run the Writer just to view your documents (what I can understand) doesn't Corel provide a small external viewer? If not, maybe you could place a request there.
If you want a Writer alternative to M$ that is already supported by TC choose Open Office ( OO Viewer Plugin ).
And if you want to use Worpderfect than why not use the working solution that you already mentioned - IEview- plugin. The Internet Explorer is installed in your machine (as you use it for connection with the M$ website).
And if you don't want to use M$ Software at all than I propose to use Linux.
After all I'm of course not against it, that someone writes a viewer plugin for Wordperfect files. But I don't like your harsh words.
