Yes, I was researching it last night after I made the last post and it resembles PDF more than an image. It is fairly new from what I have read.

The plug-in fixed it. Thank you. Now I have to figure out how to get Lister to show docx files. I have Office 2007 installed but it doesn't show docx in Lister. I just get the IE download box.

ACDSee is great from most things but it does lack in certain areas. What it lacks it makes up for in editing features, though.

Is there anyplace that has instructions on how to add whatever is needed to show the different files?
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

How do I un-overwrite all my data?

You may have another problem with office documents, in some :?: office installations they open in the office window instead of lister.

If you have this problem there is a registry script to solve it:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
[face=Consolas]Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Word.Document.8]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000024

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Word.RTF.8]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000024

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Word.Document.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000024

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Word.DocumentMacroEnabled.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000024

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Excel.Sheet.8]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000A00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Excel.Sheet.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000A00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Excel.SheetMacroEnabled.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000A00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Excel.SheetBinaryMacroEnabled.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:80000A00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PowerPoint.Show.8]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:800000A0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PowerPoint.Show.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:800000A0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PowerPoint.ShowMacroEnabled.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:800000A0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PowerPoint.SlideShow.8]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:800000A0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PowerPoint.SlideShow.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:800000A0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PowerPoint.SlideShowMacroEnabled.12]
"BrowserFlags"=dword:800000A0

[/face]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

You mean plugins for IE to view different file types?
if yes
svg = Renesis SVG plugin or Adobe SVG Plugin
xps = XPS Viewer
doc;dot;wbk;wps;docx;dotx;xls;xlsx;csv = Office(2007 for *.***X)
pdf = Foxit Reader, PDF-XChange Viewer, Adobe Acrobat Reader
djvu;djv; = DjVu browser Plugin
Probablemente no

The png image is not in English so I have no idea what it says or where I should go to get to it.

I can view DOC files fine, just not DOCX, and I do have Office 2007 installed.

Duh on me. I should have realized that from the other pic. Sorry about that. ;)

Well, I can see DOCX files now but the formatting is gone and they only contain text. DOC files show right. Strange.

My question to people using HtmlView with Acrobat Viewer for PDFs : Are hotkeys working for you? Can you exit plugin by pressing esc?

2Postkutscher,

I just tried it and using PDF-xChnage for viewing in HTMLView it works fine. It closes when I hit the escape key. It must have something to do with Acrobat Viewer.

I can see office2007 files (with the offile2007 plugin) but no doc files with the htmlview plugin.
Not even as I added .doc in the htmlview.ini

I can only see .doc files with the office plugin but this doesn't let me see office97 .doc files. :-(

Do you have MS Word installed? otherwise htmlview can't help you.

How can you give HTMLView the instructions to open PDF-X-change?
(I use PDF-X-change as default viewer on my pc)
It seems to me that I use IEview to view PDF documents using foxit pdf viewer (also on my pc).

Weel, I don't have MS Word (or other Office programs), so I don't know if my ini file will allow you (or me) to view doc files - but I suggest you try this setting:
AllowActiveX=1

IIRC activeX is necessary to view office files in Explorer.

I added AllowActiveX=1 but still can't see .doc files in quickview.

Where can I activate IIRC activeX in explorer?

The addon office does work well however I can't see word 97 doc files with it.
There is always a message:

Microsoft Word 97 Conversion
Unable to convert graphic. Continue with document conversion?
