[11.02 RC4 - 32 & 64] Wrong history dropdown list position

Post by *MaxX »

You need
1. Enable tabs hiding if 1 tab opened
2. Open 2+ tabs on one panel, but 1 tab on another
3. Now go to the panel with one tab and Alt+Down there

Here's animated GIF how to reproduce and how that looks:

Confirmed

Interesting - in 32bit TC the position in both sides is determined by the lowest positioned Tabstop header.

In 64bit TC the position is always the same, so when Tabs are visible then part of the "Current directory" bar is covered: https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/historylistposition64.mp4

And if FTP is active, the Folder tabs are covered. https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/foldertabpositionFTP.png

In 64bit TC the number of activated bars and their sizes matters - If I disable the Drive buttonbar - the it looks like in the 33bit version: https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/foldertabpositionNodrivebar.png

The same if I use a single-line button bar (with 3-line buttonbar): https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/foldertabpositionShortbuttonbar.png

In 32bit TC the position is not influenced by the number of open bars as it is in 64bit TC.

TC has always used the top of the left list as the position of the history, mainly to handle 2 panels above each other a bit better. I will change it to align to the active side list.
And if FTP is active, the Folder tabs are covered.
That's not the reason: The reason is that you have too many entries, so the list has to be moved up to remain on screen.

Correct, I have now reduced the number of entries - but there is still a problem - the position is not the same in the right panel with only folder tabs in the right side as it is in the left panel with only folder tabs in the left side (same in both 64bit and 32bit TC).

With Folder tabs only in the right side, the list in the right side covers the Tabstop header and part of the Current directory. With Folder tabs only in the left side, the list in the left side is shown directly under the Tabstop header.

As I have described above,
TC has always used the top of the left list as the position of the history
I will change that in the next beta.

This should be fixed in RC5, please test it! Sorry, it's not in the history file.
