"Forbidden" icon at horizontal line

Post by *Lar5 »

When moving the pointer over the horizontal line just above the tabs, this "forbidden" icon appears.

I can confirm this.

There doesn't have to be any tabs visible, but either the buttonbar or the drive buttons or both have to be enabled to see the icon appear.

I can confirm it too. Although I searched for over an hour, I couldn't find the reason. :(

It seems that Lazarus shows cursor for main window - as if scrollbar have too small width and there is a gap between window contents and scrollbar. You lay try to hide cursor for main window, you don't need it there - all window is covered by child windows! :)

Sorry, this bug is really fixed in Beta2. :)

Actually I thought about another place with same bug, I've made a topic here. So my previous post was about that bug.

I have it back in beta 3. Steps to reproduce:

1) start TC with empty ini
2) Configuration dialog pops up, just click OK
3) You'll be in C:\, enter first directory <- important, before you do it, the cursor is fine
4) Move cursor 2px below bottom button bar separator and you should see forbidden cursor

Windows 7 x64, both Classic and Aero

Confirmed for beta3 with that recipe
3) You'll be in C:\, enter first directory <- important, before you do it, the cursor is fine
I don't even have to enter first directory - just clicking in the file panel enables the bug.

Confirm with petermad's observation. It is important to click inside the file panel, because when I tried Sob's steps, I entered the directory by pressing Enter and could not reproduce the problem that way. Only after mouse clicking the "forbidden" icon zone appeared.

Strange, I can reproduce it too with fresh ini, but not with my normal ini...
