Wish: Editing files from search dialog should be possible
Hi,
Though I've been really happy with Total Commander for a long time now,
there is still one little feature I miss. And since there might be a chance
right now that new features can still make it into the new version, here
we go:
I would like to have an 'Edit' button in the file search dialog to directly
edit the found files without first feed them to a panel. Now that shouldn't
be that difficult, should it?
If time is too late for 7.0, then at least could you implement this feature
in the next version?
Kind regards,
bach_fan

Have you tried to right-click a filename in the search dialog?

Totally agree! Using the context menu is not only slow and awkward, but also very un-TC in my opinion. F4 should be possible - even while search is running (like F3 is).nsp wrote:It works But it is the "WINDOWS context menu" and not the F4 facility.Valentino wrote:2majkinetor !
Context menu should popup if you click on found file (nothing happens if you right-click on folder though).
I never use this inside TC it is too slowand it remind me Explorer
I really can't believe that this 'easy' feature is not yet in TC. Come on! Put that F4 button in there and make a lot of happy users even happier

Thanks for a GREAT program - simply the best!
