Lister v7.0 available?! - Still Beta?

Post by *karlchen »

Just a side note:

It may have slipped your attention: Christians link now points to Lister v7.0:

Code: Select all

lister.exe	487.936	12.06.2007 12:14	-a--
whereas the official Addon page still offers Lister v6.5:

Code: Select all

lister.exe	454.656	20.06.2005 21:54	-a--

Indeed this is a test version. I haven't received any feedback so far, so I cannot say whether it's OK to put on my homepage or not...

The dialogs: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/lister7.png in v. 7 are missing the divider lines/boxes and captions.

:) Hello Peter !

• This doesn't occur here in French, the dialogues are correctly built and the captions are present…
Version June, 12, 2007…

Where have you announced it to expect feedback? The message from karlchen above is the first notice I read, after trying to download the link several times in the past weeks.

Maybe you should create a completely new thread in which you announce all new releases, not only from lister but also from CHM file (is it released already? No idea...), extended icon set, unUPXed totalcmd.exe, English language file, etc... It's a burden to stay up-to-date already as a power user. As a normal user you have no chance at all as you don't even know that alternative downloads for this and that exist.

Why are they not listed in your download section at least?

The standalone lister is in hardcoded English (until you "Reshack" it) - are you sure you started the right external lister :?:

Old button

Post by *Clo »

2petermad

 OUPS ! The button was still set for the old one !
- Indeed, in French here ;) but I supposed that the new Lister used the strings of the main programme
- that could be pretty nice, finally !

- I set a new button and check again…

:) Hi Jeff !
TC 7 lister icon should be used – still the old one.

• Confirmed in the file-list and in the Win task-bar…

My INI in my dir

Post by *Clo »

2ghisler(Author)

:) Good afternoon,

• Like said above, I have the new standalone Lister in a separate sub-folder.

- But it created a <wincmd.ini> in Windows (unexpected) and the settings of the old version
(in another folder and drive) are overwritten…
Couln't it be possible that Lister creates its own INI in its own sub-folder for each version, using another INI name?
- I've translated the old one, and I'll keep it for 6.56…
- Besides, a detail : On the buttons of the fonts in the Configuration dialogue, the font-sizes are shown
as the Delphi style (-13, -15…), that's totally meaningless for the most average users… :|

You are right - if I start Lister7 with an /i= parameter pointing to my wincmd.ini file then it does support danish. :-)

Lister7 apparently doesn't support IniInProgramDir=7 yet, and since I have no wincmd.ini in c:\windows, Lister7 simply just made one there, off course not supporting Danish.

But I STILL have the problem with the missing captions/boxes in the dialogs as shown in http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/lister7.png

:) Hm… Some kind of hacking in sight again…
- What about that I suggest above to the Author ?
…But I STILL have the problem with the missing captions/boxes in the dialogs…
- It's very strange, it's OK here… I've ~ the same onboard video than you as an Intel mother-board,
I guess that's not the issue…
- I have set the display as 16 BPP (to save the shared memory), maybe could you try that colour-depth ?
