Off course it depends on your choises when you installed your XP.
Also some stuff on the Windows XP installation CD has to be installed manually, so for example something like "System Tools" -> "Backup" might not work for you.
I have also added a few items that does not come with Windows XP, but are very commonly installed by people - for example: "System Tools" -> "TweakUI" and: "Control Panel" -> "Java Control Panel"
I have indicated that these items are different by having them below a menu separator line.
But I would like to hear which items that doesn't work for you?
I would also like to hear if anybody is aware of any standard XP programs/functions that might be missing from my Windows XP submenu.

They are all third party controls - Well "ClearType(R) Settings" and "TweakUI" are made by Micro$oft, but don't come standard with Windows XP.

I have an nVidea display card and no on board video (working, anyway). Also, Realtek is not on my system. Wouldn't it be better to have something like those 2 not in the menu for release, as not everyone has the same setup in those areas? Especially with the new motherboards that don't even use on-board video anymore.

I tend to concur with Boofo, personally i think buttons and menus would be better of using standard components of win xp, vista & seven.
An advanced user should be able to customiz buttons and add apps o scripts or what ever. As for the menus, well I don't know if they can be edited so easily (I have not looked in to it)...
Anyway, petermad is THE man
so I guess he will decide. Sooner or later you can only take in to account a limited # of requests...

2Petermad:
Hi Petermad,
There seems to be a problem with the em_comp command.
When I try to use it to compare two files in standalone window, it works when the 2 files I want to compare have the same name.
But if I select one file left, then one file right (with a different name), and try to compare those, then the command opens the right file in the 2 windows.
Do I do something wrong ? Is there something else to configure in the shrtcut I use to call em_comp ?
Thanks,
Stéphane

No you are not doing anything wrong. Unfortunately it is not possible to completely mimic the way it works for the non-standalone compare, because of the way TC reads the command line.
My menu item does the following:
1. compares source side with same name in target side if no files are selected.
2. compares the two first selected files on source side.
It does not:
3. compare a selected file on the source side with a selected file on the target side with a different file name.
4. show the file from left side always in the left - if the source side is right, then the right file is shown to the left in the compare window.
I can make it do 3 but that will be on the expense of being able to do 1.
To change 3 to work in stead of 1 change the em_comp command parameters to:
param=%Z %T%R1 %T%R1 %P%S2
in stead of:
param=%Z %T%R1 %T%S1 %P%S2
The first %T%R1 is just fill, to make sure that TC reads the filenames from right to left which it does when there are more than 2 filenames on the command line.
The problem is that %S1 returns the current filename even if the file is not selected.
