what version of rar is supported?
can the implementation be updated?

TC 7.50a's version of unrar.dll is v. 3.90.1.125 - the current unrar.dll on www.win-rar.com is v. 3.90.100.227
You should be able to replace TC's unrar.dll with the latest one, unless the authors of winrar has made changes to the parameters.
If it doesn't work, just put the original unrar.dll back in TC's program folder again.

the unrar.dll in my totalcmd installation was 3.80.100.259 (possilby came with total commander 7.50).
I replaced the dll with 3.90.100.227, it seems to work properly.
but some rar files still show an empty directory when opened. this happens with certain password protected archives.
UnRar.exe identifies these files, asks for the password and upacks correctly.
thx, cspot

the question that remains is: why does it take a pretty old plugin to handle these files?
