Doesn`t display ftp folder contents
TC 7.55 rc2 (I don't know if this was present in earlier versions) doesn`t display the contents of a folder through FTP if the folder name contains a [. A "550 Unable to handle command" message is displayed in the ftp log.

Not confirmed. The error seems to come from your server. I just created a dir named folder[1] so you can try it on my server:
ftps://ghisler.ch
or
ftp://ghisler.ch
ftps://ghisler.ch
or
ftp://ghisler.ch

Hello, Molgar.
Cannot reproduce the problem which you reported. T.C. 7.55 rc2 displays the foldername folder[1] just fine, also the content of folder[1].
Total Commander 7.55 rc2
Windows Vista Home Premium, 32bit
FTP Server: ftp://ghisler.ch
Maybe it is worth the time and effort to create an FTP logfile when using T.C. 7.55 rc2 and to post the logfile here for inspection. (Camouflage any username/password in case you do.)
Kind regards,
Karl

I suspect this problem is the same one I once experienced with Filezilla.

It seems my server doesn't handle the MLSD command all too well. TC 7.50a uses the LIST command instead (correct me if I'm wrong).
