as far as it'ld be possible that TC writes hexa codes here? -

¤ The background combination effect is real in some Delphi™ softs, so I'll verify and tell you later.

Well, entering hex values is not documented in any way. The normal way is using the gui for color filters. This will write decimal values to the ini file automatically, which has never caused any trouble. The last question is: how TC could add the missing instructions that you gave me for [ Searches ] ? Or else, was this leak caused by me?
With a decimal value R G B , that no longer works again…
I have never claimed manually writing a decimal value to the INI file works fine. All I wrote is choosing a color in the gui will never cause any trouble.Like I told you before, decimal values dont'work here:
Works fine for me. I never edited my color filters or search settings manually before you started this thread.Unfortunately, TC is currently unable to write the whole instructions in INI, since you gave me the right ones to add...
Cause it works fine. So, why not a plugin - or rather a tool -to add this setting page ? It's just an idea, might be certainly improved...
The dialog contains search filter related settings, which is not necessary. The user can already choose from the list of existing search filters.

• The actual whole settings for type-colors is too complex if you need "Edit". The "Search" dialog(s) which come(s) then are confusing. I bet that a lot of "median" users don't set colours because they understand a bloody thing. I know someones...The dialog contains search filter related settings, which is not necessary. • Absolutely... The user who started the thread wished an extra-sorting for no-ext. files, but he didn't give a precise criterion. Then, it seemed that an extra-sorting by file-name lenght should be appropriate for him.Filename length is not supported by the TC search engine. I wrote a filesystem plugin for this, where you could define such a search filter. But these filters will differ files by filesize when browsing in local disks, which is not desired of course.
• Right only if you accept to get no-ext files and dirs in the same colour...Well, entering hex values is not documented in any way. The normal way is using the gui for color filters. This will write decimal values to the ini file automatically, which has never caused any trouble.
It doesn't matter. The files without extension is just one filter of many.Had you already the no-ext. file type in your list?
Yes, maybe two buttons "change color" and "change filter" would be more intuitive. The actual whole settings for type-colors is too complex if you need "Edit". After reading your last posting it seems to me as if you haven't entirely understand the concept of color filters.
Color filters are colors assigned to a search filter. That's all you have to know.
• Certainly; though the word filter might be replaced, because many users don't understand what filters are doing here.Yes, maybe two buttons "change color" and "change filter" would be more intuitive.
