Search dialog not totally visible
Here's what I get after doing a search for a file:

The window is always cut short and there are a lot of graphical glitches.

Yes, TC remembers the last size of the expanded dialog - please just resize it to the size you need.

Hello, Cooperdale.
This sounds as if Total Commander might not be able to write its wincmd.ini file.
Could you check which INI file T.C. uses (Help => About Total Commander) and check the date and time when it was last modified? It should have a pretty recent last modified timestamp.
By the way:
Does the reported problem affect both versions of T.C. 8.0 beta1?
+ 8.0ß1 64-bit
+ 8.0ß1 32-bit
Cheers,
Karl

Could you try with a fresh wincmd.ini, please? If that helps, can you send me your ini file to beta at ghisler dot com?

I renamed the ini file so a new one was created from scratch, but the problem is still there. The window doesn't remember its position. I have to double click it twice to get to the desired size. Here's screenshots to clarify. The first is what I get before the search every time. The second is what I get after the search, third after a double click, fourth after another double click.

Yes, please post instructions - I tried with a fresh INI, but the size is always correct. However, I get a strange black bar on the right side of the dialog on the very first start...

OK, after several tries, I think that I found a way to reproduce your problem:
1. Start TC with fresh INI
2. Open search dialog
3. Maximize, do not start search!
4. Close search dialog
5. Open search dialog
6. Start search now
-> Wrong size
Is it that what you mean?
