Greetings.
The items below that I submitted are still problems.
Also, for your consideration ... split viewing is NOT a strong point of NP++ -
which is Scintilla based (and so cannot do horizontal split viewing).
Anyway, standard Microsoft fucntionality is the "Tile/Cascade" functionality.
This makes horizontal & vertical split viewing easy.
Programmer's Notepad has all that functionality.
PN is the ONLY script editor (that I have seen) with all that functionality ...
I think it would be great if SyW had all that functionality ...

The Find/Replace in Files popup does NOT have the tab problem that the Search & Replace popups have ...AEN007 wrote:When I fire the Search/Replace popups ...
... the Tab key does not tab between fields on the popups but rather stays focused on/in the document ...
... if I hit Alt-C for &Case Sensitive, Alt-C does NOT work
IF I have Alt-C assigned as a document hotkey (like uncomment lines) ...
It seems to me that the Tab key should tab around the Search/Replace popups and
that the document hotkeys should not intercept those combos when the document is not active ...
If I hit the Tab key on a blank line to insert 2 blank spaces to start the line, the Tab key will not fire.
I have to first change the blank line by adding a space or a charachter ...

SynWrite Portable
@ Alextp
I have tried "SynWrite Portable" and I have see that Your (very good) program write these files in the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\User folder\User Application Data\SynWrite\
files:
- Syn.ini
- SynState.ini
I ask You if it's possible to write these files inside corrent folder of program: where start "Syn.exe".
Thanks.

Two (2) more items for your consideration ...
I have SyW set to Watch/Reloadw/o? ...
if SyW is minimized and a file open in SyW is deleted,
SyW gives the "file deleted ... cannot reload" message and then it is not possbile to Restore/Unminimize SyW.
I have to open a file into SyW from the XP contextmenu to Restore/Unmin SyW ...
SyW treats anything & everything with an "@" symbol as an email address & gives weblink formatting.
Is or could there be some way to individually un/set weblink formatting?
If SyW is not set to higlight links, there is no way to highlight them ...
I hope at some time the SyW Search popup problems will be fixed.
They are VERY annoying ... make working in SyW difficult ...
I'm glad someone else posted the "*"/save file problem.
I noticed it but did want to try to write an explanation ...

Whatever ... it is your (otherwise very nice) program.
You do what you want.
My quick count tallys 20 &hotkeys on those three tabs.
So, that means that almost the whole (English) alphabet is unusable with the ALT accelerator ...
The TAB problem on the Search & Replace popups is a big problem (for me).
No other popups in any other programs have that problem.
I automatically try to TAB around those popups and find it cumbersome to always have to do Ctrl-Z and stop TABBING ...

Greetings.
Today I started using 2.8.304.
In any case it turns out that the Search/Replace tab key problem is related to the ALT/hotkey problem.
I had "Indent selection" (not "Tab key") set with Tab as the hotkey.
The main GUI was grabbing the "Tab" key even though the S/R popup was open.
I have changed to set "Tab key" with "Tab".
The no indent on a blank line was also related to that setting.
Maybe SyW should indent a blank line?
The S/R popup should say "on losing focus" not "loosing".
If an open file has no changes & then one (accidentally) makes a change, (apps/SyW give the title an "*").
Normal behavior if one then hits Ctrl-Z/Undo is that the app will remove the "*", but SyW does not do that ...
