[TC8.01rc4] User-defined hotkeys don't work while VBox works
They are still present in config-ini and normally shown in config-dialog, but don't work for unknown reason.
Yesterday they worked good, but today I got nothing with them.
I compared wincmd.ini with it's backup and found no diffrence (except come lines like window-positions, test-number and search history).

Now I try older versions (they also worked good before) and get nothing - keys are still broken...

Eurika! It works!!!
The reason is strange, but it is:
VirtualBox (with hardware acceleration enabled) on AMD Athlon II X4 kills hotkeys.
Please, somebody else check this.
That's not normal.

This is complex-bug, caused with parallel work of TC and VBox.

- Where is the problem? On the host or on the guest?
- Which version of VirtualBox are you using on what host OS?
- Which host key did you define in File > Preferences > Input?

Fixed typo.

1. Problem is on the HOST; guest works fine.
2. VBox 4.1.12, host: Win7 SP1 Pro x64, guest: Win7 SP1 Pro x64 (the same copy, installed from one disc)
3. Here's the list from config-ini: and noone worked when bug happened.
May be, there was just some system bug, but it is too strange that TC's user-defined shortcuts didn't work, but defaults did.
E.g., when pressed F9 - I got activated menus (default action) instead of refreshing dir (my configged).
Note:
In that moment (when bug started) I was testing MS Office 15 Preview on guest OS. May be it is the reason.
Btw, I've never got such a strange bugs neither in TC w/o VBox, nor with parallel TC+VBox.

No, that's not what I meant. OK, I rephrase the question: Did you change the standard host key in VirtualBox? By default that's the right Ctrl key (that is used to switch input to/from the guest systems).MaxX wrote:3. Here's the list from config-ini:

Do you get the same problem when you reset the host key to its default? And when exactly does the problem show (VirtualBox opened but no guest system started; guest system booting; guest system idle but no software launched)?

Right now I can't repeat my actions. I'll try some later when get some free time. But:
1. There's no matter if RightAlt ot RightCtrl is made as switch key in VBox.
2. At that moment I had main VBox's window opened (manager) and one guest system running (that system is alone in the vm-list). Just at this moment while MSO15 was installing, I switched to another program (on host), then to TC (on host, too). Right here I noticed the bug.

Sounds like VBox is registering some system-wide hotkeys - this means that other programs cannot see them. Strangely I do not have this problem with VirtualBox myself, I'm using it regularly to test Windows 8 preview...
