Request: dropbox/skydrive/google drive wfx plugin

I remember sometime ago there was a wfx plugin (I newer used it) for using gmail as an external drive, as electronic lockers are growing in popularity and their number grows most of them install an extra driver a feature not always an option, could a wfx plugin be written that uses https or their api thru the wfx interface to access skydrive/dropbox/google drive with tc?

In principle, yes. Unfortunately many of these cloud services set restrictions (e.g. 100'000 access calls per month) per app, not per user. Since Total Commander is quite popular, these restrictions would be reached very quickly, making the function useless.

Better use a cloud service which supports a standard access method like FTP or WebDAV.

I recently switched from hotmail to outlook (the same service but with a new UI) and I can't get it to work with the "new outlook" skydrive.

I was using this plugin for some weeks ai april-may 2012 (shared folder's login) - > worked good.
Don't know if it is workable now, but think there's nothing changed.

There's nothing about limit per application in dropbox.

Thus, is it possible we would see wfx for Dropbox?

Since Dropbox normally has a local folder available, no plugin would be needed? Or is this a use-case where no local dropbox client has been installed?

it's a twofold question, #1 I don't like dropbox caching my whole online folder on a local pc, and #2 accessing from a 3rd party pc with portable tc where aether dropbox isn't installed or I don't want my whole box downloaded on another persons machine, I read somewhere that there was a google drive plugin being developed, in the meantime I'll use a browser, I only use a browser for dropbox as I don't like their client.
In the mean time there have been some changes in the cloud wars
with mediafire offering 50GiB free storage and rapidshare unlimited storage without the 30 days limitation but only 1GiB transfer per day.

I'm also working in a plugin for multiple cloud services (SkyDrive primarily, but thinking of also include support to Dropbox, Google Drive and Box eventually).

But I'm facing some design problems tough (like the problem deleting full directories instead of individual files) but I hope I can release it in one or two weeks.
