That guy must be on drugs. I find that post pretty retarded and even insultive. But then again he's probably that sort of cheapass who would never buy anything.
I think you are misinterpreting his message. He is saying Mr. Ghisler is the one who is taking a monetary beating.
I meant the original post of course!
But seeing it's year old... nevermind :P
I intended to support his view.

Would this mean...
That you're suggesting a Rolls is software? ;)

I did not suggest anything.
A Rolls is a product with personality.
So TC is.
I was only wondering what would happen if the management of Rolls Royce would decide to offer a causal purchase car.

You get what you pay for.
There are a lot of free Commanders on the market.
So naturally you may go on driving a Trabant

I see this as a matter of respect to the authors, and ability to pay.

I've been using TC since 2003 and it's the piece of software I use the most. Windows Explorer is used only when I really have to, like Save as > browse.

When I lived in Serbia I used all possible software for free, downloading, patching etc. Windows, Photoshop, Premier, Sound forge, Corel, antiviruses...you name it. TC was also one of them. ...and I never used a key generators for it, you don't really need it, just the key file.

Back then I hadn't even checked the price of TC or any other software, because I was a student and 32 euros on top of renting a place in other city where I studied + other living expenses were a lot...a looooot.

Recently I moved to Canada and of course, the situation and money and cost perspective is different here. However, $45 is still not something to be ignored, and my monthly wage is still not really decent. But this software is my life saver at my job I'm currently working and all of you on the forum, as well as Christian, who is actively participating and answering tons of questions, made me decide to go and purchase the licence.

I decided that if any software and author really deserves to be paid by me it's TC and Christian, and his brother, as I believe he said so earlier in this thread.

I could have continued with using some BMW, or whatever license was written on top, but I decided to pay for it. It's like supporting your local family store by paying a bit more, instead of buying at Walmart. I'm not preaching some hippie/vegan/cool fashion/trend thing here.

I know that for some of you this might sound like nothing special, completely normal thing to do - you go and purchase a software - but believe me, for someone who is from, say Balkans, and has never paid for any piece of software and/or movie this is a big thing. And this is even going to sound funny to me, but I feel proud I did that! :D :D

If I was in a position I would have donated more for free software and paid for other, but so far TC is the only one.

So, as I said - I see it as a matter of respect and ability to pay.

Cheers and thanks again for the great software and thanks to all of you who make plugins and share your knowledge here, on the forum!
