That looks like you are using some packer plugin (insertplugin) instead of the internal ZIP packer on XP.
Please look in Configuration - Options - Plugins - Packer plugins: You need to type
ZIP
in the box in the upper right corner.

I have no wcx zip plugins. That was (interal) zip packing with 0 compression (store).
p.s.
Proof:
(Under XP)
I packed compressed (Deflate 9) zip first, then browsed some folders in another folders, then compressed the same files to second (Store 0) zip. Screenshot was saved while second zip was processing.

Confirmed, but not exactly the same.
Is "insertplugin" the name of one of your files?
I have this:
Image: http://s22.postimg.org/th03ugntd/tcbug850b2.png
if I frequently switch foreground/background while zipping.
Strip.exe and avr-gdb.exe are some files in the folder I pack into zip. First time I switched BG->FG on strip.exe (5%), then quickly FG->BG and back on avr-gdb.exe (15%).
WinXP x32, TC8.50b2a.

We are not so S.M.A.R.T. as we imagine...

I've just checked that zip (it's so good I still have it), and there are some files with "insertplugin" word in their names.
As I remember, I did some fg-bg-fg iterations, may be twice... Didn't think that could be cause...
I'll check later same actions with more unique filenames...

Absolutely confirmed!
Clear scenario:
1. Select some files
2. Alt+F5, zip, OK
3. While packing press "background"
4. While still packing (in bg) press "foreground"
5. Get the filename (which was processing at the moment) in the first line near "ZIP"
{else, if you wish}
6. (still packing) press BG again
7. (still packing) press FG again - see the same as in step 5 BUT(!!!) the word is another = new file's name (which was processing at the moment) in first line.
UPD:
No matter what is file's sizes or their total amount...

UPD:
"insertplugin" in first post (now) means not packer plugin, but the filename, processed at that moment

There's more interesting bug in gui (with external packers too) if some BG-FG-BG-FG-BG-FG-BG-FG iterations done (twice and more).

UPD2:
The same happens to DELETE operation after BG-FG-BG-FG-BG-FG-BG-FG iterations.

The problem is that TC uses the title from the BG dialog for that location. I will try to reconstruct the previous title somehow.

Thanks! I cannot guarantee that it works correctly with all operations, so if you find another such problem, please report it!
