:)   Hello !
• Display any file in Lister,
>>> Menu Options >>> Configure >>> Tick the box : Autodetect.

As workaround: Type 'A' for Ansi or 'S' for Ascii to switch the view. Just the Keys work in Lister as shortcut.

:) Hi again!
• From the Help / Tutorial :
When Autodetect is selected, Lister tries to distinguish between ANSI and ASCII text.
* Like quoted above, TC TRIES to distinguish… Some DOS fonts are not saw as ASCII.
* I just tested two *.nfo files:
- both are displayed as ANSI in Lister.
¤ One doesn't show errors, it's quite readable.
¤ The other shows errors.
* I edited them in TxtEdit (Delphi7™ program), they are not recognized as ASCII... Some DOS fonts can't be identified by Delphi, it seems.
• Hence, the Sheepdog's tip is the one good solution currently.

It is possible to add a function in order to associate the files extensions to the visualization Ansi or Ascii?
It is annoying to have to press to or s every time.
Tanks.

• That sounds like a good idea, I support it. But we'll have to hear the Author's opinion about that possibility...
* Currently, as far as I know, there is none instruction / setting to do this...
* However, you could try to install an external viewer having ASCII as default, then associate *.nfo with it, and launch the file via ALT+F3, or drag it on a button set for that external viewer (not sure that works…)
