[9.0b1] 'Press ENTER after Alt+Tab' splash on panel change

Post by *MaxX »

TC 9.0 beta 1 (both 32 and 64 bits)

'Press ENTER after Alt+Tab' splash is shown for some milliseconds when I change working panel to left or right with left mouse button.
"Minimize to tray" option is enabled.

The best way to see the bug clearly is really slow (overloaded) PC or simple quick mouse clicking.

Which Windows version are you on? I don't see this on Windows 7.

Win 7 SP1 x64 Ultimate, AMD CPU and GPU with actual drivers.
I've tested also on XP SP3 32 bit (Virtual PC) and got the same splashes on taskbar.

I think it is the same symptom with "Unnecessary task on taskbar"
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=44221

When user change working panel to left or right with left mouse button, it may moved the mouse cursor a little, so trigger the "Rubber band selection" just some milliseconds.

And then the extra window(task) is shown on the taskbar.

Even if the grouping of taskbar buttons is enabled, the extra window(task) still will be hidden after the TC icon.
This is why I will try to hold LMB, and then press "Alt+Tab", to see what is this?!
Unfortunately(or luckily), it caused another problem: "Unstoppable Rubber band selection"
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=44222

And now, no need slow (overloaded) PC, just press "Alt+Tab", and click the extra window(task). We can see this symptom clearly.

Ah, OK, then my fix should handle this too. I had to set a window parent for the rubberband window to make the taskbar icon go away.
