Steps not to reproduce:
1) use "long" as view mode in a folder with 20 files
2) start dragging behind the file #5 and drag down to file #10
3) result: every file from file #5 to file #10 is selected
4) start dragging behind the file #15 and drag down to file #20
5) result: every file from file #15 to file #20 is selected

?rubberband selection adds files sometimes

Sorry, cannot reproduce. Are you sure you didn't press Ctrl while selecting the second range?

No, I started with file #20 by clicking behind file name #20 and then dragged up. Clicking below the file list makes the difference because only clicking on a line with a file removes the selection!Did you start the second drag from below the file list?
