Well, if Explorer is similarly slow then Christian probably can't do anything about it. :(

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Yes, my plugin copies via the official documented ActiveSync functions too. I strongly recommend that you get a cheap card reader for about $20, it is MUCH MUCH faster.
