You'll need:
1. TC 8.52a or TC 9.0 rc3
2. sLister.wlx + SumatraPDF.exe
3. some PDF files
To do:
1. Start TC
2. Go into some dir with PDF files
3. Open quick view mode by Ctrl+Q (cursor is on highest ".." position)
4. Open small quick search box via [cm_ShowQuickSearch] or hotkey
5. Type some first letters of any existing file
6. (now TC moves cursor to one of these PDF and hangs)
I recieve too much PDF scans every day and can't force my partners to send jpeg or anything else. It is sad, but PDF is the only way to share some docs.
The problem is not just a hang, but sometimes it causes some data loss too...

No matter if ".." or some file. TC hangs in any conditions when first letter is typed in quick search while Ctrl+Q is open and moves to any PDF...

You're lucky. It happens here every time we need to find some PDF with preview by Ctrl+Q.

Did you try ULister with the Oracle Viewers ?
It works fine for me and has no such quick view problems
Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.3915) TC 11.51 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1391a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.5.2.0, Listary Pro 6.3.2.88
QAP 11.6.4.2.1 x64
I found a solution for TC9: When I set the focus in the active file list before loading the file, and then set it back on quick search, there is no hang.
I tried to install, but Symantec EndPoint Protection shows Download Insight deny slister.wlx64 (from wlx64_sLister_1.1.2.zip)
WS.Reputation.1 for http://wincmd.ru/files/wlx64_sLister_1.1.2.zip
Does anyone know more?

Sorry, but who cares about Symantec reputation system.
This Slister version is known by Kaperskys system since more than 5 years
and absolutely safe to use.
The only problem here is Symantec and not only in this case.

Try sending the file to Symantec for white listing. WS.Reputation.1 means that too few Symantec users are using this file, so the scanner treats it as unknown and therefore potentially harmful (which is completely stupid, since viruses/worms are usually spreads by the 1000s of files).
