Why Doesn't This Work on Total Commander?

Post by *totalatha »

I enter the command

c:\"Program Files"\Adobe\"Acrobat DC"\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe

in the command gadget of Total Commander. Why can't the program find
the file? This command works fine in the command prompt.
Thanks!

Well, it does not work either if you put c:\"Program Files"\Adobe\"Acrobat DC"\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe in the path field of Windows Explorer (File Explorer), whereas it works fine in Explorer with c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe

If you try "c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" in Explorer - it escapes the spaces (replaces them with %20) and tries to open the file in the default browser.

But entering: cmd /c c:\"Program Files"\Adobe\"Acrobat DC"\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe in TC's Command line works fine.
