I get this bug if i configure TC this way.
1. Add

IViewAdditionalTypes=*.jpg *.jpeg *.jpe *.gif *.bmp *.tif *.tiff *.png *.pcx *.tga *.webp

2. Use separate search!

I always had used separate search as default because I prefer the non-modal search window.

So I guess we can conclude this behaviour as a bug?

While testing I use RestrictInterface=6144 to disable all plugins.

Can't see any info on how to use that. Could you be so kind to share, please?

Open the help file, search for RestrictInterface and you'll find the information in "Ini File Settings part 2: Configuration N-Z", online version here https://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php?title=Wincmd.ini#Configuration (scroll down to RestrictInterface)

This is something you have to add to the INI yourself using a text editor such as notepad, you can start TC with a different INI if you wish https://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php/Command_line_parameters#/i=name.ini to help with testing.
