Re: CudaLister (source code viewer)
Anyone else having problems with CudaLister crashing TotalCommander after closing the options window?
Is there another way to change options?

Re: CudaLister (source code viewer)
I have never experienced exactly this problem. But a similar one.
CudaLister 1.8.0.1
TC 10.52x32/dark@Win10x64
I'm using CudaLister as my default viewer for text files (in Lister and in QuickView).
It works most of the time, i.e., for several days and tens of files per day.
But in rare cases it simply crashes TC when opening a file, i.e., TC will simply close entirely without any error message. This happens on several computers that I am using regularly.
The problem is unfortunately not easily reproducible since it never showed up again when simply restarting TC and showing the same file.
Any ideas or experiences on this?

Confirmed, same experience here. Previous release of CudaLister v1.8.0.0 is affected as well.

Not specifically that problem (version 1.8.0.1)
In my case, the configuration of cudalister (and other plugins) comes to me in the "lsplugin.ini" file.
All the best

Re: CudaLister (source code viewer)
Author please add the [CudaListerDark] section to the settings. So that you can automatically pick up the theme settings when changing the night style. And it would be nice to set shortcut CTRL+F to search. Thank you.

You should make an entry in the Authors forum at GitHubBrat2 wrote: 2023-06-17, 14:34 UTC Author please add the [CudaListerDark] section to the settings. Re: CudaLister (source code viewer)
This is far from the only plugin with color settings. For most of my TC usage, I had a common dark coloring for different Lister plugins long before the dark mode appeared. And there was not even a thought that the plugins would adapt to some mode.Brat2 wrote: 2023-06-17, 14:34 UTC So that you can automatically pick up the theme settings when changing the night style.
It would be more correct if the plugins optionally adjusted their colors to the current ones in TC, especially since no one interferes with having any colors in both modes.
Add: I'm surprised why the plugin author can't guess to see the description of the DarkMode key in the help.

Re: EdgeViewer - Modern HTML viewer plugin
I can only warn against using the current version 1.8.1.0 of CudaLister. It has a severe bug related to its search functionality that might result in arbitrary files being destroyed (overwritten) by CudaLister depending on your search behavior and text selection behavior in CudaLista. It's known since at June, but the authors/maintainers of CudaLister have clearly dropped the ball on this one: https://github.com/Alexey-T/CudaLister/issues/112Horst.Epp wrote: 2023-09-28, 07:20 UTC Viewing PHP files is the job of plugins like CudaLister which shows them with syntax highlighting

Re: CudaLister (source code viewer)
UPDATE: 1.8.2.0 has been released that specifically addresses and fixes the severe issue present in 1.8.1.0 i wrote about here.
Note that the current version 1.8.1.0 of CudaLister has a severe bug that can lead to aribitrary files being destroyed (overwritten) by CudaLister depending on your search and text selection behavior in CudaLister. The issue has been known since at least end of June, yet the authors/maintainers didn't seem to bother reviewing their code base upon a user reporting on that issue. Noteworthy is also that one of the authors/maintainers pointed at the function in CudaLister causing the issue, yet no action was taken and the problematic code remains in the master branch of the CudaLister github repo to this day: https://github.com/Alexey-T/CudaLister/issues/112
(I don't know if CudaLister is built from the master branch of it's github repo, or whether it is built from a private repo or local codebase. While the commit causing the issue happened end of February after the older 1.8.0.1 version was released beginning of February, the dates are close enough that the problematic code might perhaps already be present in 1.8.0.1 if it were built from a private repo/local codebase that might had the problematic code changes before they got pushed to the public github repo.)

So it looks like the problems it has are only occur under certain conditions.
