I'm migrating from my old company laptop to the new one and experiencing issues with Total commander.
Steps done:
- I have installed TC 10.50 and it was working.
- I have copied the %APPDATA%/Roaming/GHISLER folder
- I have copied the company's wincmd.key and also the plugins directory into Program Files/totalcmd.
I have tried the following steps without any luck:
- Tried to remove wincmd.ini
- Tried to remove plugins folder (using wcx_xz, sftp4tc, sftpplug)
- Tried to remove wincmd.key (however I think it was nonsense, the license key have read successfully, as it was visible on the splash screen)
- Tried to uninstall Total commander, cleaned the Program Files/totalcmd and Roaming/GHISLER folders and made a clean, new install
- Tried starting Total commander with safe mode, by pressing SHIFT key during startup.
- Tried starting Total commander with totalcmd64.exe /i="%temp%\wincmd.ini"
- Tried to run as administrator
I have no other idea what to do. It's supposed to be a full clean install now and still doesn't work.
Do you have any tips what should I check or what should I have missed?
FYI: Both the old and new laptops are using Symantec Endpoint Protection antivirus, I see no logged actions on its GUI, and I am not able to disable its protection even temporarily due to company's Windows policy.
Thanks in advance!
