petermad,
Are we talking about the RSS feed or the forum?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

white,
I am talking about Smartfeed. Is there any feed other than Smartfeed?

Yes, the phpBB itself has a feed.
Smartfeed is an extension with more possibilities.

Links to both feeds are in every forum page (look at the source code). Newsfeed aware browsers will show them.

By the way: Couldn't the registration process be adapted so that tons of spam threads aren't created every day (and then have to be deleted manually) which disturb reading of the forum?

You said your issue is with smartfeed. It seems work with https when I generate a url and test it. Is the problem still there? Did you generate a new url?

white,
This is the URL I had before, I didn't change it, and it does not work anymore:

Code: Select all

https://www.ghisler.ch/board/app.php/smartfeed/feed?u=49&l=1&f=2&f=3&f=5&f=22&f=25&f=6&f=7&f=35&f=32&f=28&f=27&f=26&f=24&f=23&f=21&f=13&f=14&f=15&f=16&f=20&f=10&f=12&f=36&t=3&x=1000&s=4&i=0&y=2&d=3&w=0
After changing https to http it works again. Still, before it worked with https as well. Perhaps there is some new certificate involved with a new cipher or something, which my old RSS reader probably using some old IE engine does not recognize.

I see. I tested your url with https and that worked for me. Btw, isn't the url personalized with user id and some sort of key? I don't know if it matters, but perhaps not a good idea to share it?

white,
You might be right, perhaps a session cookie or something, no idea. Removed the part. Thanks.
