No chances to solve this directly without "proxy" dlls?

No, there is now also another way: You can now also use external 7zg.exe directly without a plugin.

That doesn't work with Delphi 2 which I'm using for the 32-bit version, and it probably doesn't work with Lazarus either, which I'm using for the 64-bit version.
