Make sorting of directories "Like files (also by time)" the default.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

I also agree with Christian.
It's too dangerous to mix file and folders, if the list is larger than 1 screen.
I can have it in Everything, but never use it for file operations.

The suggestion is NOT about mixing files and directories! It's about enabling an already existing option by default - just like the thread title says.

If this thread is really only about the default value in the settings for sorting folders, then I'm all for that too. Because of course I've had this enabled in my settings for many, many years (actually since the beginning). I'm voting for changing the default value to make it easier for newcomers at tc.
